At Bromma, we’re excited to share an important milestone in our journey toward sustainability. As part of our ongoing commitment to reducing our environmental impact, we’ve taken a significant step by fully transitioning our manufacturing operations to electric power. Our manufacturing facility operates on 100% clean energy!
Here’s How We’re Making It Happen:
-
Solar Power Integration:
Approximately 40-45% of the energy we use comes from solar panels installed across our factory operations. This move is a key part of our efforts to reduce our reliance on non-renewable energy sources. -
Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs):
The remaining energy needed to power our operations is fully supported by renewable energy certificates (RECs) at our plant in Ipoh, Malaysia, ensuring that all of our energy is sourced sustainably. -
A Fully Electric Forklift Fleet:
By the beginning of 2025, we’ve transitioned all our manufacturing operations from diesel to electric forklifts, including converting eight 2.5-ton forklifts to electric models. This shift further reduces our carbon footprint while increasing operational efficiency. We’re also expanding our electric fleet! We now have nine electric forklifts in operation, which are helping to reduce emissions across the board.
This milestone is just one of many steps we’re taking to reduce our environmental impact and deliver the most sustainable solutions to our customers. We are excited to continue our commitment to sustainable future.
