Flipper Tie
Description
The Flipper Tie upgrade was designed as an additional safety feature to secure the flipper/guide to the end beam and is applicable to most spreader models. The Flipper Tie secures the flipper/guide to the spreader structure to ensure safe spreader operations.
The Flipper Tie may either be a chain or a wire rope depending on the spreader design and application, and is available both as an option for new spreaders or as an upgrade on existing spreaders.

SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work for the supply and installation of the Flipper Tie design upgrade includes:
- Weld the eye bolts on the end beam and flipper
- Install the chain or wire connecting the end beam to the flipper or guide
- Test all functions
- Revise existing drawings
- Revise spreader manuals
PARTS INCLUDED
The following parts are included in the Flipper Tie upgrade offer:
- Eye bolts
- Chain or wire rope
- Fasteners, including shackles

MATERIAL & INSTALLATION LEAD TIME
- Material leadtime: 5 weeks (Exw Bromma Malaysia)
- Installation leadtime: 2-3 days (per spreader, inclusive of testing)
