Description

The Bromma SSX40 / SSX45 are high-performance single-lift telescopic spreaders designed for ship-to-shore cranes operating in fast, high-throughput environments. The SSX40 / SSX45 easily adjust to handle 20’, 40’, and (for SSX45) 45’ containers using ISO floating twistlocks for smooth and secure engagement. Their robust structure is engineered using advanced finite element modeling to optimize strength and durability, ensuring stable operation even under eccentric loads. With a proven track record across global terminals, these spreaders provide reliable single-lift performance, high uptime, and the toughness expected from every Bromma design.

Major Features

  • The spreader can retract to the 19’6″ position in case it becomes jammed in the ship’s 20´cell. The design with recessed end beams makes handling of lashing frames and hatch covers possible
