Bromma to deliver the world’s first crane spreader built using Fossil-Free Steel to DP World
As part of its commitment to sustainability, Bromma has manufactured the world’s first crane spreader made from fossil-free steel, to be delivered to DP World Sokhna, Egypt in the fall of 2025. The spreader, built with SSAB’s HYBRIT® fossil-free steel, marks a breakthrough in reducing CO₂ emissions in port equipment manufacturing — cutting production emissions by more than 90% and total lifecycle emissions by 66%.
