INRS – Impact and Noise Reduction System
Description
For maximum shock absorption, the INRS uses the entire stroke of the damper on every landing, enabling the pressurized damper to dampen an impact either entirely or partially.
The Bromma Impact and Noise Reduction System, INRS, lowers the landing impact to a deceleration process to reduce the risk of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical components vibrating loose or being damaged by normal landing shock. The INRS reduces the landing stress on the steel structure, thereby maximizing fatigue life. The double-directional hydraulic damping mechanism in the INRS lessens shock on both the lowering and hoisting motion of the spreader.
